Warranty
PAIUTE TRAILER MFG. WARRANTY
Your Paiute Trailer equipment has been manufactured, tested and ispected in accordance with carefully specified engineering requirements and is warranted to the original owner to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the period of one (1) year, except as herein limited, from the date of purchase. The obligation of this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing any part or parts, which, in the opinion of Paiute Trailers, shall be proved defective in materials or workmanship under normal use and service during the one year period. Electrical wiring, paint, couplers, jacks and bearings are warranted for a period of 120 days from date of purchase. This warranty does not cover any part or parts which have been damaged as result of accident, misuse, abuse, or which have been modified, altered or repaired by other than Paiute Trailer Mfg., L.L.C. This warranty shall not apply if the trailer has been subjected to loads in excess of its rated capacity.
LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
Paiute Trailers DOES NOT warranty any product, component or parts NOT manufactured by Paiute Trailers. The company must get authorization for replacement or repair from the manufacturer of said products, components or parts BEFORE repair or replacement can be done by Paiute Trailers. These components include, but are not limited to axles and axle parts, jacks, couplers, tires and wheels.
This warranty shall not extend to:
1) Any trailer or component in which the warranty registration card was not returned to Paiute Trailers.
2) Equipment which has been modified, repaired or altered without the express written consent of Paiute Trailers.
3) Unreasonable use. (including failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.)
4) Tires, Axles, Axle assemblies, Suspension components or any other equipment which is warranted sparately by the respective manufacturers of said components.
5) Any consequential damages for breach of this or any other warranty expressed or implied whatsoever. Repair or replacement under this warranty is the exclusive remedy of the customer.
6) Parts not supplied by Paiute Trailers.
7) Certain parts which require replacement in the ordinary course of use due to normal wear.
ATTENTION
State laws may vary. Paiute Trailer Mfg., L.L.C. assumes no responsibility for any trailer not meeting state specifications. Proper and regular maintenance of your trailer will help insure longer use. To help you with this we suggest the following:
1. Correct ball size for trailer hitch.
2. Lugnuts should be checked and torqued regularly.
3. Maintain proper tire pressurer.
4. Check wheel bearings regularly.
5. Make sure all lights are operational and inspect electrical connections regularly.
6. Brakes should be checked and adjusted regularly.
7. Maintain all fluid levels.
8. Load should be evenly distributed.
9. If equipped with electric brakes, the "breakaway" battery must be fully charged.
10. Inspect and service your trailer regularly.
WARRANTY ADJUSTMENT POLICIES
Paiute Trailers has established the following policied to provide dealers and customers with the most satisfactory and expedient procedures to handle warranty adjustments. It is imperative the warranty registration is completed at the time of sale and returned to Paiute TRailer Mfg as soon as possible to ensure you get the most prompt warranty.
Warranty Control:
Owner goodwill is of utmost importance to Paiute Trailer Mfg. When trailer owners become dissatisfied with their unit or the resolution of problems, considerable goodwill is lost. At Paiute Trailers, customers are number one priority. Each individual case is carefully investigated and handled as quickly and fairly as possible.
Necessary Information:
The following information is needed on each claim for prompt processing:
1 - Dealer name and location
2 - Owner name, address, and phone number
3 - Trailer model, serial number, year of manufacture and date of purchace
Warranty Claim:
A warranty claim form must be completed and submitted to Paiute Trailers to be authorized for repair or replacement. If you are a customer, please contact your dealer to fill out the form.
Procedure:
Paiute Trailers must pre-authorize any repairs to a trailer BEFORE the repair work is done. If you submit a claim after the repairs have been made, it will be returned. Upon receiving a warranty claim, we will review it and get in contact with you within one (1) business day.
Tires and Wheels:
Paiute Trailers DOES NOT handle any warranty for tires and wheels. Please refer to your owners packet (issued at time of sale) for warranty information and instructions on tires and wheels.
Warranty Procedure:
In most cases the unit or parts must be delivered, charges prepaird, to Paiute Trailers for repair or replacement unless otherwise directed by the Company. If an outside source is authorized to provide warranty repairs, an estimate must first be faxed to Paiute Trailer Warranty department and must be pre-approved before any repairs are completed. Paiute Trailers will pay the Dealers hourly shop rate on all warranty work up to a maximum of the average area charge.
